3D Non Linear Structures and Spatial Organisations

This involves the architectural exploration of certain natural phenomenon that lead to 3D non-linear surfaces and organisations. These natural surfaces lend themselves to robust, energy efficient structural units which have been employed by nature in a variety of different methods for the construction of forms; both by organic systems, as in the example of ant colony organisation, and in inorganic natural systems for example bubble formation.


Voronoi Diagrams and Delauney triangulation are both mathematical methods, which model non-linear systems. These techniques have a wide range of applications in different area and can easily be automated to produce architectural prototypes.
